EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Ed.D or Ph.D.
2. Two years’ experience in school setting

LICENSURE

1. Licensure by Public Education Department.
2. Licensure by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Board.
3. Able to obtain Medicaid Provider Number and NPI.

DUTIES, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Administer psychological and educational tests and other assessment procedures.
2. Interpret assessment results.
3. Obtain, integrate, and interpret information about child behavior and conditions relating to learning.
4. Consult with other staff members in planning school programs to meet the special needs of children as indicated by psychological tests, interviews and behavioral evaluations.
5. Plan, manage, and implement a program of psychological services, including psychological counseling for children with disabilities and their parents.
